Growing craze for indigenous apps!
After Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav's video, the installs of the indigenous maps app 'MapmyIndia' have increased drastically. This app, created by Indian couple Rakesh and Rashmi Verma in 1995, was providing services before Google Maps. The 3D junction view in it makes it easier to navigate complex junctions. Features like warnings on potholes, speed breakers, and live signal countdown are impressing everyone.
