Heavy Fine Imposed on Ratnadeep and Akshayakalpa Private Limited
Hyderabad: The District Consumer Commission has imposed a heavy fine on Ratnadeep Retail Private Limited, located in Sainikpuri, and the manufacturing firm, Akshayakalpa Farms and Foods Private Limited, in a case involving the sale of contaminated butter. The Commission ordered them to pay Rs. 1 lakh as compensation to the consumer, a penalty of Rs. 1 lakh, and Rs. 10,000 towards litigation costs. Additionally, the verdict mandates the refund of the Rs. 230 paid for the purchase of the butter.
