High Court criticizes leasing of endowment non-agricultural lands
Andhra Pradesh: The High Court has criticized the long-term leasing of temple non-agricultural lands. It stayed GO No. 15 issued by the government to lease lands to charity organizations. The petitioners argued that the government does not have the authority to hand over endowment lands to private organizations, while the AG argued that it has become difficult to evict those who have already obtained leases. The court then adjourned the hearing to next week.
