Import Duty Cut Driven by Ulterior Motives
Nangunur: State Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao alleged that the Central Government deliberately reduces import duties whenever elections approach. He urged the Centre to make decisions with the interests of farmers in mind, rather than those of Ambani and Adani. On Saturday, he visited the oil palm factory in Narmetta, located in the Nangunur Mandal of Siddipet district. Speaking to the media later, he remarked that it was inappropriate for the Centre to lower import duties for political reasons.
