Increase the rate for ghee supplied to temples to Rs 690
Hyderabad: The management of Vijaya Dairy has requested the State Endowments Department to increase the price of ghee supplied to temples to at least Rs 690 per kilogram, stating that the current rate of Rs 609 per kilogram is not remunerative. "Butter required for the production of ghee is not fully available within the state; we source high-quality butter from North India. Furthermore, transportation costs have risen due to increased fuel prices and other factors. Given these circumstances, supplying ghee at the current price has become financially burdensome," the dairy management stated.
