Investments Worth ₹1.15 Lakh Crore via ‘Semicon 2.0’
New Delhi: The Central Government aims to attract significant investments through the ‘Semicon 2.0’ scheme, which was announced in July this year to promote semiconductor manufacturing in the country. Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that investment agreements worth $11 billion to $12 billion (approximately ₹1.05 lakh crore to ₹1.15 lakh crore) are likely to be finalized during the ‘Semicon India 2026’ conference, which began in Delhi on Thursday.
