Mixed Finish for Indices
Investors adopted a cautious stance after the US Federal Reserve raised interest rates and signaled the possibility of another hike later this year. Consequently, the Sensex and Nifty ended the day on a mixed note on Thursday. The BSE Sensex closed 21.86 points lower at 74,314.59, while the Nifty gained 53 points to close at 23,270.60. Meanwhile, the NSE IPO was subscribed 43% on its first day; out of the 8.86 crore shares offered, bids were placed for 3.83 crore shares.
