**Kakinada:** Prison officials confirmed the fact that YCP MLC Anantha Babu—who is currently lodged as an undertrial prisoner at the Rajamahendravaram Central Jail on charges of intimidating witnesses in a driver's murder case—had indeed requested that special privileges be provided to him within the jail premises. Responding to the matter, Jail Superintendent S. Rahul issued a statement. In the statement, he noted that Anantha Babu had requested special privileges on the grounds that he holds the status of an MLC.
