Jaljeevan works in full swing in 5 districts with a cost of ₹7910 crore
Andhra Pradesh: The government is actively implementing the Jaljeevan scheme in 5 districts at a cost of ₹7910 crore. When the funds for this scheme were running out, the coalition government persuaded the Centre to extend it for another 4 years and resumed the work. If these are completed, 1.22 crore people will get safe water. Work is being done at a cost of ₹1290 crore in West Prakasam, which has a fluoride problem. Some of the work has been completed in Chittoor, Guntur and Godavari districts.
