Japanese PM Ishiba to resign?
Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba will resign from his post. He has taken the decision to end internal differences within the ruling LDP, the country's public broadcaster NHK said. The PM will hold a press conference on this at 6 pm today. The LDP and its ally Komeito lost their majority in the House of Councilors (Upper House) elections held in July. This has increased opposition to him.
