Kochi Police Commissioner Removed!
Kochi: The Kerala government has taken strict action in a hit-and-run case in Kochi involving the minor son of a judge. The judge’s son, who was driving a Mercedes-Benz at high speed—resulting in a fatality—was initially charged under sections that would have easily allowed for bail. In response to this, the Kerala government has transferred Kochi Police Commissioner Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar for his improper handling of the case and has suspended four other police officers.
