Konaseema Plunges into Darkness for Three Days
Cyclone 'Arnab' has wreaked havoc in the Konaseema district. The entire district has been left in complete darkness for the past three days. It is unclear when internet services will be restored. As the cyclone crossed the coast over the Konaseema region, the district bore the brunt of its impact. More than 10,000 electricity poles have collapsed. The government has deployed 2,000 personnel to restore power supply and has transported 20,000 electricity poles from various other districts to Konaseema.
