Washington: Charges have been filed in a US court against Indian gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his associate Goldy Brar in connection with the murder of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar—an incident that has caused tensions in diplomatic relations between India and Canada. US investigative agencies have filed a charge sheet in a Los Angeles federal court alleging that Bishnoi—currently imprisoned in India—orchestrated the 2023 murder of Nijjar from within the jail.
