Layoff of one lakh employees in five years
Volkswagen, one of the world's largest car manufacturing companies, plans to lay off nearly one lakh employees worldwide by 2030 as part of a cost-cutting drive. In addition, it has decided to close four factories in Germany. To this end, the company's CEO Oliver Blume recently presented the 'Volkswagen Reorganization Plan' to the executive board. The company's supervisory board meeting to be held on July 9 will discuss it and take a final decision.
