Low-Pressure Area Expected in Southwest Bay of Bengal Tomorrow
A surface circulation has formed in the vicinity of the Gulf of Mannar, adjacent to Sri Lanka. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that, under the influence of this system, a low-pressure area is expected to form in the Southwest Bay of Bengal on the 11th of this month. It was announced that the low-pressure area would intensify and evolve into a depression as it moves northwestward—towards the coasts of Tamil Nadu and Coastal Andhra—after the 13th of this month.
