Married Daughter Also Eligible for Compassionate Appointment: High Court
The High Court has clarified that a married daughter is also eligible for a compassionate appointment. Kumbham Jyothi filed a petition in the High Court challenging an order by the electricity distribution company, SPDCL, which had denied her a job under the compassionate appointment scheme on the grounds that she was married. A bench led by Justice Venugopal, which heard the petition, ruled that married daughters are indeed eligible for compassionate appointments and directed that the petitioner be granted a job under the scheme, along with all associated benefits.
