Municipal Elections on February 14!
Telangana: It is reported that the government is making preparations to hold elections for the governing bodies of 117 municipalities and 6 municipal corporations in the state on February 14. The election schedule is expected to be announced on the 17th of this month. There are indications that 32% reservations will be given to BCs (Backward Classes). Elections will be held in a total of 2,996 wards. The Municipal Administration Department has written a letter to the government requesting the release of Rs. 85 crore for conducting the elections.
