Bengaluru, February 07: In an operation conducted by customs officials at the Kempegowda International Airport near Devanahalli, hydroponic cannabis worth Rs 2.97 crore, which was being smuggled from abroad, has been seized. The authorities have taken three accused into custody in two separate cases in this regard. Eight and a half kg of hydro cannabis found When the immigration department inspected the luggage bags of three passengers who arrived at KIAB from Phuket, Thailand and Malaysia, a total of 8.5 kg of hydroponic cannabis hidden in packets was found. The value of the seized narcotic substance is estimated to be around Rs. 2.97 crore. Customs officials have detained three people! The customs officials, who have detained the accused along with the cannabis, have registered a case under the NDPS Act and are continuing the investigation. The officials are conducting further inquiries into the network and foreign connections behind this case.
