New Association Formed by Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam Producers
In a meeting held in Hyderabad on Sunday, producers from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries united to form the "South Indian Film Producers Association" (SIFPA). This newly formed body strongly opposed the 8-week OTT window stipulation set by theater owners. Consequently, it advised producers against providing any written guarantees or commitments regarding this matter to any party. A steering committee comprising representatives from all four linguistic industries has been appointed to address and resolve these issues.
