New FSSAI rules: Action to be taken against the use of rusted knives
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued new guidelines for hotels, restaurants, and food business operators. It has been clearly stated that rusty, broken, painted, or damaged knives must not be used for cooking. The FSSAI has tightened hygiene standards to prevent food contamination. It has mandated that knives, cutting boards, and other equipment used in kitchens must be clean and in good condition.
