No Hike in Electricity Charges for the Next Two Years
Electricity Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar stated that since the formation of the alliance government, electricity charges have not been raised by even a single rupee, and there is absolutely no plan to increase them over the next two and a half years. On Monday, he laid the foundation stone for a 132/33 kV substation, to be constructed at a cost of ₹35.78 crore in Elchuru, Santamaguluru Mandal, Prakasam district. Speaking on the occasion, he noted that despite a significant surge in electricity consumption due to the El Niño effect, they are successfully generating and supplying power without any disruptions.
