No Regulations for Low-Speed Battery Bikes!
New Delhi: The government is planning to exempt low-speed battery-operated bikes from motor vehicle regulations. To this end, amendments will be made to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1989; draft proposals regarding this were released on Thursday. The proposed amendments to the Act are likely to come into effect on October 1 of this year.
