Papikondalu Excursions Resume Today
Officials had suspended tourist boat services to Papikondalu—located in the Devipatnam Mandal of Polavaram district—two months ago due to the turbulent flow of the Godavari River caused by floods. Boat operations at the Poshamma Gandi point remained halted for 72 days as high flood levels persisted. With the Godavari's water levels receding two days ago, officials granted permission for the excursions to resume. Boat services to Papikondalu will operate as usual starting Tuesday.
