Patent expiration.. Prices of weight loss injections to decrease!
Prices of weight loss injections in India are set to decrease. The patent for semaglutide used in these will expire on March 20. In this context, companies like Dr. Reddy's and Sun Pharma are coming forward to bring its generic version. Currently, semaglutide is used in Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and Ozempic. Their price ranges from ₹8,000 to ₹25,000. If the generic version comes, the price will be reduced by up to 50%.
