Pensions for Handloom Weavers Aged 50 and Above
Hindupur: Minister Savitha stated that the government is taking steps to provide 'NTR Bharosa' pensions to all eligible handloom weavers who have completed 50 years of age. On Saturday, she held a Zoom meeting with officials from the Handlooms and Textiles Department from her camp office in Penukonda, Sri Sathya Sai district. The Minister expressed anger over irregularities and corrupt practices observed during the scrutiny of weavers' applications in certain parts of the state. She warned that greed for money under the guise of application scrutiny would not be tolerated.
