Petition Filed in High Court Against Inclusion of Land in Prohibited List
Former Anglo-Indian nominated MLA Stephenson has filed a petition in the High Court, challenging the inclusion of his land in the prohibited list and seeking the quashing of Government Order (GO) 134, issued on September 23 of this year. He alleged that a 1,936-square-yard plot of land in Boiguda, Secunderabad, registered in his name, was placed on the prohibited list, and claimed that GO 134 was issued as part of a political conspiracy. The petition came up for hearing on Wednesday before a division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Justice Sankoshi and Justice Chalapathi Rao.
