Production halted in SMS-1 section
The accident that occurred in SMS (Steel Meltshop-1) of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant on Monday has brought the production in that section to a standstill. The employees are afraid to perform their duties there. There are six machines in the CCD (Continuous Casting Department) of SMS. Five of them are working continuously. As part of the production process, machines 2, 3 and 4 are working in the ‘B’ shift on Monday afternoon. Employees are not willing to work at those machines.
