Rainfall drops... Coal production rises
Rebbena (Mancherial): El Niño has turned out to be favorable for Singareni; the lack of rainfall has aided coal production. The Kairiguda Open Cast Project (OCP) in the Bellampalli area has achieved higher production compared to last year and is racing towards meeting its targets. Production activities are set to accelerate further this month. This OCP is a key asset for the area. While 1,174,504 metric tonnes of coal were produced in the Bellampalli area up to August of the previous financial year, production reached 1,406,446 metric tonnes during the same period this year.
