Rs. 16 lakh crore investments with the establishment of high-speed corridors
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw expressed his happiness over the allocation of Rs. 2.77 lakh crore to the railways in the Union Budget. He stated that the budget allocations are in line with the goals of 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India). He said that Rs. 20,000 crore will be spent on railway and passenger safety. The minister expressed hope that the development of seven high-speed corridors would attract investments worth ₹16 lakh crore.
