Scattered Rains in the State
Visakhapatnam: A low-pressure area formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal has moved northwestwards and is currently persisting over the regions bordering North Odisha and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department stated that the system is expected to move towards remote areas of Odisha by Tuesday. Under its influence, rains occurred in several parts of the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions on Monday. Rainfall of 4.95 cm in Sativada (Vizianagaram district), 3.62 cm in Anantapur, and 3.25 cm in Bobbili was recorded. The Meteorological Department stated that scattered rains are likely in the Coastal and Rayalaseema regions over the next 24 hours.
