SEBI Simplifies Mutual Fund Regulations for Investors
A comprehensive review of mutual fund (MF) regulations is underway to make them more user-friendly for investors and industry, said Manoj Kumar, executive director of capital markets regulator SEBI. He made this disclosure at the 17th Mutual Fund Conference organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He said that the current regulatory framework for the sector is very complex and needs to be simplified to keep pace with changing investor needs and industry innovations.
