Bihar Launches Women’s Employment Scheme: ₹10,000 DBT Aid to Empower 7.5 Million Women
The Bihar government has launched the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme to empower women. Under this scheme, every eligible woman will receive a DBT assistance of ₹10,000 for self-employment. The first installment will be released on September 26th, with ₹7,500 crore allocated to 7.5 million women. More than 11.1 million women have applied so far. The scheme aims to economically empower women by supporting them in small businesses, farming, animal husbandry, and handicrafts.
