Security in Hormuz Does Not Come Free: Iran
Amidst escalating tensions with the United States, Iran has made significant remarks. It asserted that global energy security does not come without a cost, and a price must be paid for it. Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Araghchi, made it clear that it is untenable for others to expect free security in the Strait of Hormuz while simultaneously imposing sanctions on Iran's oil exports. He stated that oil prices would remain stable only if the pressure currently being exerted on Iran and its allies is brought to an end.
