Amaravati: The High Court bench expressed strong objection to the filing of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the notifications issued for land acquisition for the construction of the capital city, Amaravati. The court questioned how the petitioner was concerned with the matter, noting that it is the affected farmers who should raise objections regarding land acquisition. The court made stern remarks against Senior Advocate Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, who appeared on behalf of the petitioner.
