‘Stars’ who turned Nepal’s politics upside down
Nepal’s politics has become interesting with the strength of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party in the election results. There are two ‘stars’ behind this. One is TV presenter and RSP founder Rabi Lamichhane and the other is rapper Balen Shah. Rabi, who founded RSP in 2022, rose to the position of Deputy Prime Minister in a short time with his political acumen. Rapper Balen Shah has gained popularity among the youth. In 2025, Shah joined RSP and joined hands with Rabi, which changed the course of politics there.
