Surekha's bronze upgraded to silver
Hyderabad: The bronze medal won last year by star archer and Vijayawada native Vennam Jyothi Surekha at the Archery World Cup has now been upgraded to silver. To elaborate: Surekha had finished third and settled for bronze in the individual compound event final at the 2015 Archery World Cup held in China. The silver medal, originally awarded to Mexican archer Marina Bernal—who finished as the runner-up—has now been revoked due to a violation of anti-doping regulations.
