Tanvi Wins Taipei Title
Taipei: Tanvi Sharma clinched the first BWF World Tour title of her career, emerging as the winner of the women's singles event at the Taipei Open Super 300 tournament. In the final held on Sunday, the 17-year-old Tanvi defeated Vietnam's Thuy Linh Nguyen with a score of 21-16, 21-16. With this victory, Tanvi became the first Indian shuttler to win the Taipei Open women's singles title since Saina Nehwal in 2008. She also achieved the distinction of being the youngest shuttler to reach the final in the tournament's history.
