The government didn't care.. Women themselves took to the streets!
Fed up with the government's negligence, 25 women from Jharkhand took it upon themselves to build a road in their village. After pleading with public representatives to no avail, they collected another ₹50,000 in addition to the ₹2,500 given by the government every month. They used that money to build a dirt road. They put their determination into action and set an example for many. They are being praised for proving that anything is possible with perseverance.
