The science behind our rituals
Our traditions and customs are not only based on spiritual reasons! There are also health and scientific reasons. For example, our elders tell us to leave our slippers outside the house. They tell us to wash our hands and feet when we go out. They tell us to stay away from everyone, saying that if we are born, we will be sick, and if we die, we will be infected. If we go to a salon, we will not be allowed to enter the house unless we have bathed. They tell us that women should not cook unless they have bathed. The reason for this is to prevent germs from entering the house.
