Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi criticized that his speech in Parliament was being deliberately obstructed. He wrote a letter to Speaker Om Birla in this regard. He criticized that national security was an important issue in the President's address, and his rights were trampled upon by not allowing him to speak on it in the House. He said that this was the first time in the history of Parliament that such a thing had happened to an opposition leader.
