Three in Ten People Suffer from BP and Diabetes
Ongole: Public health standards are deteriorating day by day. This was revealed in a survey conducted by the Medical and Health Department regarding NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases). The department had set a target to survey 1,494,320 people in the district and successfully covered 1,334,756 individuals. Screening tests were conducted on 1,015,749 individuals. Among them, 248,506 (16.69%) were diagnosed with high blood pressure, and 226,256 (15.19%) were diagnosed with diabetes.
