Telangana: The Supreme Court will hear the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana water dispute today. The Telangana government filed a writ petition under Article 32 seeking to halt the Polavaram-Nallamala Sagar (Banacherla) link project undertaken by Andhra Pradesh. It alleged that the construction was being carried out illegally under the pretext of diverting floodwaters. The bench headed by CJI Surya Kant, after hearing the petition, directed the government to file a special suit with comprehensive details.
