Union Minister Kurian Resigns; President Accepts Resignation
Senior BJP leader George Kurian has resigned from his post as Union Minister. Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Tuesday that President Droupadi Murmu has accepted his resignation. The official statement noted that the resignation was accepted on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and came into effect immediately. Kurian, who served as Minister of State for Minority Affairs and for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, had to step down following the conclusion of his Rajya Sabha term.
