Waiting to See What the Congress High Command Decides: Vijaya Reddy
Hyderabad: Congress leader Vijaya Reddy—daughter of the late PJR—expressed confidence that she could be declared the MLA if Danam Nagender's election is ruled invalid. She stated that she believes the court fully accepts her arguments and expressed complete faith in the High Court. She recalled a previous Supreme Court verdict stating that a by-election should not be held until a judgment is delivered on an election petition. However, Vijaya Reddy noted that it remains to be seen what the party high command will do if a by-election for the Khairatabad Assembly constituency becomes necessary.
