1.23 Lakh Jobs Lost in Just 8 Months
New Delhi: Job cuts are on the rise in the global technology sector. Major tech companies like Oracle, Amazon, and Meta are focusing on workforce reductions due to global uncertainty, cost-cutting measures, and the need to fund investments in Artificial Intelligence (AI). In the eight months from January to the end of August 2026, 289 companies announced layoffs, resulting in the termination of 123,305 employees.
