₹1.24 Lakh Crore in Income Tax Collected from Telugu States
Suresh Bathini, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, announced that a total of ₹1,24,322 crore in Income Tax (IT) was collected from the Telugu states during the 2025-26 financial year. Speaking at the Mehdi Manzil conference hall in Banjara Hills, he noted that the 2025-26 fiscal year witnessed a 3.4% growth in Income Tax collections compared to the previous year. It was explained that out of the total Rs 1.24 lakh crore collected, over Rs 1.06 lakh crore was realized from Telangana, while over Rs 17,000 crore was collected from Andhra Pradesh.
