2,363 Deaths in the First Four Months
Hyderabad: Despite the police department's extensive efforts to prevent road accidents, they have been unable to curb the overall number of incidents. However, thanks to a large-scale awareness campaign titled 'Arrive Alive'—conducted over the past four months with a focus on road safety—they have succeeded in reducing the road accident fatality rate by approximately 15 percent. An analysis of statistics from the last five years reveals that the death rate during the first four months of the year has indeed declined this year. Nevertheless, the number of people sustaining injuries continues to rise.
