Police have reported that four others are missing. This tragic incident has shocked everyone. Police have stated that all the victims were from the same family. When and where did the accident happen? The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Friday at Shiroda-Velagar beach, located more than 490 kilometers from Mumbai. According to police information, at least three members of a family drowned during a picnic. Four others who had gone into the sea with them are missing. Police have reported that a 16-year-old girl in the group has been rescued. How did the accident happen? Regarding the incident in Maharashtra's Sindhudurg district, a police officer said, "Eight members of the same family were on a picnic. Two of them were staying in Kudal (Sindhudurg), while six others had come from Belgaum (Belagavi, Karnataka). All eight went into the sea to swim, but shortly after, they began drowning. Upon receiving information, the police and local disaster management team launched a rescue operation." Bodies of Three People Recovered The police officer informed that "during the search, the bodies of three people have been recovered. Four others are still missing." He said that a 16-year-old girl has been rescued, and the search for the remaining four continued until late evening.
