War in West Asia scares foreign portfolio firms (FPIs). With this fear, these companies are saying goodbye to the domestic stock market. In the first four months of this year alone, FPIs withdrew investments worth $2,000 crore (roughly Rs. 1.89 lakh crore) from the Indian stock market. Compared to the total sales of these companies last year (2025) of USD 1,890 crore, this is only USD 110 crore (approximately Rs. 10,432 crore) less.
