In 2025-26.. Rs.314 lakh crore UPI transactions
New Delhi: The total value of transactions through Unified Payment Interfaces (UPI), which has made digital payment services extremely convenient, crossed Rs 314 lakh crore in the last financial year (2025-26). Developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), UPI services were launched on 11 August 2016. In that financial year (2016-17), only Rs.0.07 lakh crore of UPI transactions were recorded.
